It is the last week before Easter and it has been a busy – and fun – week at People First Keighley & Craven!
The week started off with the meeting of our Board of Trustees! As a part of being members of our service, our members take part in monthly meetings supported by an independent advisor to help make decisions about the charity. This is an important part of being an advocate to not just make decisions in their own life, but decisions for all of People First!
Across this week we have been celebrating Autism Awareness Day, which is happening on April 2nd! We have talked about what autism is, the different ways it can look in different people, and it as an invisible disability. There have been lots about productive conversations about autism icons.
On Tuesday we had a podcast episode all about Kinball!
Hosts Nathan, Caitlin and Stephen invited Katie Peacock from Exclusively Inclusive with member Chris, who led a kinball session for us last December, to tell us more about the game and how they run their sessions.

we got chatting to Helen all about her work with Dance United Yorkshire, a local service that helps to support people from underrepresented and marginalised communities to express themselves through community dance!
