Over the years at People First Keighley & Craven we have worked with some amazing groups and people. Here are a few of some of the kind words some of them have left about us and our members!
Brooke Milhouse
Disability Advocate, host of Disabled & Proud Podcast
I absolutely loved coming on your podcast not just once but twice! The hard work and dedication that you guys give to your podcast, as well as helping out the local community is truly admirable. You guys are changing what is means to be disabled and that is so powerful, keep up the amazing work!
Robbie Moore MP
Member of Parliament for Keighley and Ilkley.
Tracy Robinson
Clinical Educator at NHS Airedale Foundation Trust
For the last 18 months we at Airedale have had the huge privilege of welcoming People First Keighley & Craven to deliver a session at our monthly new starter inductions. The induction is to prepare nurses and health care support workers to go out into the workplace armed with knowledge and skills to provide excellent patient care. The session that is delivered by you guys is by far my favourite session of the week.

I find it inspiring and motivating and I always learn something new myself. Your session is to raise awareness for health professionals and tell them what it’s like living with a disability and how they can make a difference by the way that they treat people who attend the hospital for appointments or as inpatients.
You are inspirational and your team work so so hard to make sure that it is a fun filled session and that really does make people want to listen and take part.
Sarah, Tom, Stephen, Sarah & Martin you are real stars and the work that you deliver is amazing. You do your bits with real passion and confidence. You are also naturals at chatting to the new starters and making them feel welcome. Keep up the good work and I’m excited to continue to work with you in 2025.Â
Isla Skinner
Senior Leader at NHS Airedale Foundation Trust
I’ve recently been talking to some PFKC members about the new hospital at Airedale and finding out what would help them to have input into that. We also talked about people taking part in place assessments and other work to improve access and experience. The members here are always so fantastic at sharing their experience and views. They give so generously with real honesty and a positive spirit. Their desire to make a difference bot just for themselves but for others is gold standard – they are quite simply – stars.

Working with People First KC and their podcast members has been a fantastic experience. Their passion for accessibility is inspiring, and they create such a welcoming space where everyone feels valued. Â From the moment I joined their podcast, I felt at ease, thanks to their thoughtful preparation and genuine kindness.
