PLEASE SUPPORT OUR CAUSE

28th July – 1st August

✪ All this week our members have continued on their articles for the upcoming Wellbeing Week Zine! This will be the second zine we release to mark the second Wellbeing Week, which we are super excited for!

Like in last year’s, every one of our members is writing a different article covering lots of topics: from projects and pieces of work we have done this year, different ways to help wellbeing, and much more. The zine will be a fantastic way for people to support PFKC by buying it, and give them the opportunity

✪ On Monday we got an amazing delivery, as we received our social work student Natalia’s reasonable adjustment letter that she has been working on with us! These will be used with our members in the office in an upcoming project.

✪ On Tuesday, a group of members got the chance to go on an incredible trip – to the Elland Road stadium of Leeds United Football Club! This was a trip planned by Ish, one of our members, who worked with staff member Adam

Supported by staff and volunteers, members Adrian, Stephen W, Ish, Martin and Daniel travelled from our Keighley office to Leeds (and back again!) using trains, buses and taxis. Even thought they had to work around delays and changes in plan, every members was able to really well travel independently and we are so proud of all of them.

We saw a lot of amazing areas of the stadium like the front of the pitch, the director’s box, the changing rooms and even the VIP dining areas!

This was a fantastic and very successful trip planned by Ish with staff member Adam, and we hope more members can get to experience this trip in the future – we have a LOT of football fans at PFKC!

✪ Wednesday saw the members of the podcast team uploading and sharing on our social media the newest episode of the People First Podcast! This week’s episode features Skipton Building Society, which was organised by our Board Treasurer Nathan, who wanted to speak about money and finance to another company. We learned a lot about this fantastic local organisation!

You can listen to the episode HERE!

✪ Thursday saw volunteer Susan coming into the office to do some catch-up work with a few members who still had some poetry work left to do from the creative project! We were all working back in the office today on articles for the zine.

✪ On Friday we finished our week by having a celebration for Yorkshire Day! We had loaf cakes and Yorkshire puddings, which was a nice end to the week.
