✪ We started off this fun festive week at People First by starting work on our Christmas video! We will be giving more details into December but we can give a little teaser of it…
That’s right, we will be doing a fun PFKC-themed version of “Is This The Way to Amarillo”! Inspired by the fun Tony Christie song and Peter Kay’s iconic video!
✪ In the morning, a few of our members went downstairs to join an event meeting held by our friend Wil Quick! Where they got the chance to give input about sensory and accessible design decisions in important local facilities like hospitals.
✪ Wednesday saw us getting a visit from some students and supporting teachers from Brooklands School in Skipton, a special school supporting all ages that some of our members attended when they were students! All of our members, led by Teagan, did an amazing job of giving a presentation about all the different work we do at People First and what opportunities could be available for graduating students at PFKC.
We then got the chance to speak to them on the podcast for an episode all about Brooklands!
✪ On Thursday our member Wayne was filming the first episode of our newest TV show – the 12 Interviews of Christmas! The first episode was with Adam, talking about favourite parts of Christmas dinner, talking about last year’s Christmas boy band video, and more!
✪ And finishing off our week was the Mince Pie Moment downstairs in Central Hall for our members and their parents and carers! We were delighted at all the people that came and it was very exciting to launch our Christmas Card Collection.
✪ In the same afternoon we had a very fun podcast recording all about the Bradford Gig Buddies! As well as our usual excellent host team, members Owen and Rebecca came on to talk about about their experiences of being at Gig Buddies.
