✪ This week we have been celebrating Learning Disability Awareness Week! As well as talking about the theme of this month’s week “Can You See Me?” and why its important that we celebrate LD Awareness Week,
✪ Tuesday saw our podcast hosts Daniel, Stephen W and Nathan had a FANTASTIC interview with Em and Claire from Skipton Building Society!
✪ On Wednesday morning, Oliver went with staff member Angus over to Silsden to give in a few bags of donations we’ve collected over the year for Homeless Not Hopeless! They were pleased to receive the toiletries he brought like women’s hygiene products, shampoo and more, as they were needing some!
Oliver is looking now to rejig what the list of items needed for the summer for a future donation campaign! This is some fantastic work from Oliver supported by us to continue to advocate for his goal of supporting the homeless in our local community.
✪ This week’s episode of the People First Podcast featured a worker and 2 members of SNOOP, the Special Needs Objective Outreach Project! Podcast members Nathan, Matthew H and Charlotte went to SNOOP’s office in Bradford a few weeks ago to talk to them about the work they do with people of disabilities of all age groups.

✪ Thursday saw the Creative Project continuing with the second week of the creative writing session run by our volunteer Susan!
This week, the members focused in themselves – coming up with words to describe themselves, as well as words for different emotions they feel. They then used these words to write descriptive sentences about themselves, learning about metaphors and and starting to write these into poems!
