✪ We started off our week with staff members finishing off their first aid training.
✪ All throughout the week our members have been discussing what they would like to see in a new Inclusive Wellbeing event!
We have also been coming up with new ideas for things to put in a new Zine all about the event! Last year each of our members wrote a piece of work to put in, so everyone has been thinking of ideas for this year’s.
✪ Across Tuesday and Thursday we were visited by Shelagh Crossley, who works with us a lot on Makaton projects and training, who worked with our staff members and Fire Marshals to learn signs for us to use during a fire drill!
✪ On Wednesday, Sarah B was been creating Makaton signs with Oliver and Jason that we use to teach at our induction sessions at Airedale Hospital!
✪ We had a VERY busy day on Thursday!
Members of the People First Podcast Alex, Wayne and Graeme interviewed to one of our volunteers Sue about her work to teach some members to read and write!
✪ We were all excited by the arrival of guitars for Adam’s music project!
✪ Claire Thornber from the Cauda Equina Champions Charity brought Easter treats to celebrate our easy read leaflet going on the MACP Physiotherapy website!
✪ Wil Quick from Equality Together came to give David a certificate for his work to do with co-production!
✪ And to finish off our week, Rebecca did her presentation about Charlie Chaplin and we celebrated his birthday!
