It has been a VERY warm week in our office at People First Keighley and Craven!
But still, our members have been up to lots of fantastic work!
✪ Throughout the week, members have been looking at the Scope Awards! They let disabled people to vote for people, places and organisations like ours that help to promote disability equality. Many of our members have been nominating themselves for the advocacy work they do here and at other services, which has been AMAZING to see!

✪ This week has also been our second full week of having milk in our teas and coffees (which we love to have at PFKC!) from the Modern Milkman!
The Modern Milkman is a company that offers a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly way to buy milk! Because of their glass bottles that can keep being used and refilled week after week, it saves using on cartons from supermarkets that will be thrown away or recycled, lowering the amount of plastics we use at People First.
It also lets us support local farms, which is where Modern Milkman buys its milk from!
The work they do is incredible and we cannot praise them enough!
✪ On the People First Podcast this week our uploading team released the interview we did with BCB Radio! Daniel and Caitlin, who attended the original interview, were joined by Charlotte to speak to the Radio 119 team to learn more about their work and why they love doing BCB Radio!
✪ On Wednesday afternoon the Airedale Hospital work team members, Steven, Sarah, Kenny and Tom worked with Catrina to lead another presentation to the student medical workers about the importance of all different types of communication when working with people with learning disabilities!
