This week at People First Keighley and Craven...
✪ This week, our members having been starting the Move On Up Buddy Training by Purple Patch! The Buddy Training is all about helping people feel confident with being a ‘buddy’ of people who are new to a day service. We have talked about how we might help someone new to the People First office through ways to make them feel welcome, including them in discussions, and more.
✪ Our members have also been voting for the location of our social night this month! We will be announcing next week which option won, so make sure to follow us on social media to see the results!
✪ Wednesday saw another presentation about the importance of communication with people with learning disabilities at Airedale Hospital! Steven B, Martin and Sarah C all did an amazing job.
✪ Thursday saw all our members take part in filming a new video! Some of our Friday group even got involved with it! Stay tuned for it on our Facebook page for when it releases later today!
✪ And on Friday to finish off this busy week, we had a surprise party for our Team Leader Janet for her birthday!
