✪ We started off our week on Monday with a very exciting interview for the PFKC Podcast Corner! Some of our hosts Luke, Shannon, Daniel and Tom spoke to a very interesting guest – Maggie Philbin OBE! Maggie is a TV Presenter, known for hosting classic shows like Swap Shop and Tomorrow’s World, a Radio Host for the BBC, member of the band Brown Sauce, as well as the founder of the charity Teen Teach!
We learned lots of new information about her interesting life and career! She was a great first guest to have on the PFKC Corner and all of our members loved having her on the show.

✪ Tuesday also saw the podcast members starting to record the new intros and outros for Season 4 of the People First Podcast! All the members of the team voted whether they would like to change the opening music and what is said at the start and end of all the episodes, and the decision was made to make some new music and re-record the lines.
✪ We also had a very fun session in the morning led by one of our members, Adrian! He led a “Wake Up, Shake Up” session which really woke us all up!
✪ On Wednesday, Sarah B and Martin when with Team Leader Janet to a job’s fair in Skipton hosted by Brooklands School! They got the chance to talk about working at People First KC to students leaving school and their parents/carers. We are very proud of both of them for talking about PFKC and promoting it!
The Cabybara of Confidence even came along with us!
✪ Wednesday and Thursday also saw our members doing a very interesting piece of work – writing down different quotes about what its like to be a member at People First Keighley and Craven!
These quotes are to go on a board that will be showcased at an event next week, where our Podcast Lead Adam and members Luke and Martin will be doing a presentation to get a funding appeal for us! There has been a lot of hard work to prepare for this event and we are very excited for it next week.
