This week at People First Keighley and Craven...

✪ To start off our week on Monday, we continued doing more work about the different types of love! 

✪ On Wednesday, our manager Catrina alongside Sarah C went around Keighley to hand out posters and leaflets for our Safer Streets event to lot of different local businesses! We think our work to make the streets of Keighley and Craven safer by supporting people in our community to feel safe is useful to lots of people in our community, so we wanted to spread the word. We were so excited to get posters up in Keighley Library,

✪ The newest episode of the People First Podcast was also released! This week’s show features Tim Howell, one of the leaders of the Good Food Partnership. We learned a lot about the project and all the amazing work they do to help improve our relationship with food, and how groups like ours can get involved!

✪ Our member Amy started her work with the Keighley Rock Choir again, helping to serve them teas and coffees during their morning rehearsal in Central Hall! Amy does a lot of hospitality work in our office and we are very proud of her for continuing it outside of our office and for helping the other great organisations who work around us.

✪ Thursday saw the members of the People First Podcast team starting to record a new episode all about the Special Olympics, featuring interviews with some of our own members! A few people who come to People First have also participated in the Special Olympics and we ware very interested to hear them talk about their experiences as well as talking about what the Special Olympics are to people who might not know.

✪ Graeme, Alex, Simon and Wayne worked on the Safer Streets event by taking leaflets to Keighley College and putting one up at the front of Central Hall!

✪ And to finish off the week, on Friday Caitlin, Benjamin, Charlotte, Lizzie and Nathan went to deliver more posters around Keighley!
