We have had a busy week at People First KC! With all our members in this week, we’ve been getting up to lots of different work…
✪ This week, all the members of our podcast team have been meeting to plan the next season of the People First Podcast, as well as the PFKC Podcast Corner! They have talked about what they’d like to change, what they’d like to keep the same. And what everyone would like to cover on the podcast this year!
The People First Podcast will be returning on Wednesday 5th February – we hope to see you then!
✪ And all our members have been discussing around the table the different goals they want to achieve this year – like events to different places, lots of pieces of work, and even some amazing personal goals! Fantastic plans have been made by everyone, so 2025 is definitely going to be a full and interesting year!
✪ On Wednesday, two of our amazing team of volunteers Nadia and Esta released a video about what it’s like to be a volunteer at People First Keighley and Craven! And as you will hear first hand from them, it’s a great opportunity and a great place to volunteer.

✪ Thursday and Friday saw our members looking through the brand new “Cancer Services” page on the NHS Airedale Trust website to see if we can make any suggestions for it to be more accessible for people with learning disabilities! This has been a difficult piece of work for so early in the year but we have really good discussions about it and the members have made lots of good suggestions.
✪ We have also been voting for our first social night of the year!
And the choice that won is… a takeaway and music night downstairs in Central Hall!
