This week at People First Keighley and Craven...

✪ To start off the week, on Monday our members discussed our upcoming Christmas Ball all inclusive and the prizes for our Christmas raffle! We also spoke about different ideas for fundraisers
As we have decided not to have a social night in November, the Christmas Party will be our next social event. For more information, click to go to the social night page!
✪ On Tuesday we did the first of our session all about volunteers! Our members talked about the different traits and qualities they want in a volunteer, what volunteers can bring to our organisation and the positives of begin a volunteer! We even got to hear from two of our volunteer team Nadia and Esta about their thoughts on being a volunteer at PFKC.
We continued this session throughout the week with our Wednesday and Friday groups, with all our members coming up with lots of different new ideas!
✪ And in the evening, our members went to The Bronte Restaurant and Bar in Haworth for our monthly social event! A fantastic time was had by all! We would like to thank all the amazing staff and chefs who made and served the amazing food! We hope we’ll get the chance to visit again.
Our Capybara of Confidence (given to us by the amazing Katie and Angela from Happiness Enchanters!) came along with us, and we got a lovely photo outside!
✪ Wednesday saw the release of the Halloween special of the People First Podcast! In the episode, a few members of the team (Shannon, Caitlin, Lizzie, Jane W and Luke) spoke about lots of different Halloween topics – from their favourite scary films and the history of Halloween celebrations, to the blue buckets that help make trick or treating more accessible for children with autism.
✪ And on Thursday we celebrated Halloween in our office by doing some Halloween crafting! Our members made diamond art, pumpkin decorations for around the office and bags filled with spooky treats!
