PFKC Learning Holidays are an opportunity for individuals to gain skills and knowledge to help make positive choices to lead a healthier lifestyle. Places are available for anyone aged sixteen and above with a diagnosed or self-identified learning disability the holiday runs three times per year.
Individuals will enjoy a Monday to Friday break at the Beamsley Project situated near Bolton Abbey. The week will include a variety of opportunities around health, mental health, exercise, healthy eating, and cooking. All sessions are fun and interactive with an emphasis on developing confidence, independence, and responsibility.
These holidays can be a steppingstone towards independent living and an opportunity to develop social skills and new relationships.
Applicants are asked to pay a £100 contribution towards the cost of the holiday.
If applicants require 1:1 care, a carer can be accommodated by prior arrangement and a further £100 contribution will apply.
