After all the recent riots, members at People First Keighley and Craven created a positivity board which is in Keighley Library. I decided I wanted to create something to celebrate diversity.

I designed a postcard size piece with drawings of flowers and leaves on, I wrote:

“Diversity is beautiful

We are all different

But

we all matter!”

I wanted to create something with all types of flowers and plants on to symbolise the diversity between us humans. some people will see this design and like the drawings but I hope some will look further and understand the true meaning of the variety I chose.

We are all different we all grow in different environments and different paces. I like diversity and the variety of cultures we have in the world, it’s interesting learning about others and their cultures.

We are all one human race and we all live in the one world, we should celebrate our differences and celebrate everyone else’s differences.

I was really pleased to hear we are using my design for the with compliments slip to give out with information leaflets people ask for and information to do with People First KC.

I was grateful that my hard work and design was appreciated and pleasantly surprised that my work was being used for something. This made me feel good!

We are all beautiful in our own way and that is good.
